radio controlled boats electric or nitro

For beginners we would in general recommend to start off with an entry level boat. Therefore an electric rc boat  powered by rechargeable batteries is your best investment when starting your rc hobby. Indeed electric rc models are by far the easiest to control and maintain. Besides the advantage of being clean and quiet, these radio controlled boats are very easy to drive. This way starters can explore the operation of the rc vehicle and ameliorate their driving skills. Engine tuning, fuel mixtures and high speed that come with a gas or nitro-powered mode do not interfere when driving electric rcs. And yes an electric rc boat is not as fast as nitro rc or gas r/c boat.

Radio controlled boats come in electric, nitro, and gas versions. Electric rcs are more popular because of their ease of operation. Nitro boats use Nitro-Methane fuel and rc Gas boats use regular car gas with oil blended in the fuel. Each type of r-c boat has it’s own advantage over the other. Let’s list a few advantages of each.
Electric - Lowest cost and ease of operation. Electric rc boats tend to slowdown as the run time progresses and the rc battery runs out of  power.
Electric boats cruise speed between 15-20mph.
Nitro - Mid priced, rather easy to operate and nitro engines deliver full power throughout the tank of nitro fuel for about 20 minutes.
Nitro boats cruise between 30-35mph.
Gas - Highest speed, gas boats use normal car gas with 2 cycle oil and can last to 45 minutes on a tank of gas.
Gas boats are capable of very high speeds around the 40 to 45mph range.

Radio controlled boats are great gifts and can be enjoyed a diversity of locations.
We advise to run your boat in clear clean water for the best fun.
Radio control boats use rudder and propellor systems that are submerged reasonably deep into the H2O. If you drive an rc boat lon water with weeds in it, the risc is quite high that the boat will quickly bog down and may even get stuck in the water.

Radio controlled boats come in three different packages; RTR kits, ARTR kits, and assemblage kits.
Fuel, start packs, electric batteries and battery chargers must oftenbe purchased separately  in order to be able to operate the boat.
Most r/c boats come as ready to run (rtr) rc.
RTR or ready-to-run need little or no assembly. Some minor adjustments may be required dependent on the make of rc-boat  such as batteries in the boat,radio- transmitter and possibly fuel. These rcs are perfect for the beginner enthusiasts.
ARTR or almost-ready-to-run call for partial assemblage by an individual who wants to invest somet time to become familiar with radio controlled boats.
Assembly kits are more advanced. All the parts needed to prepare the boat for running  must be assembled. The  assembly generally requires advanced skills.
